LOSE WEIGHT: STILL AN ADVANTAGE OF THE BIKE!

The bike allows long-term efforts at an intensity which corresponds very well to a maximum oxidation of fats. 

Bike and weight loss: there are few studies

Traditionally, the bike has enough little inspired researchers for the benefit of the foot race when it comes to assessing the impact on overweight and weight loss. It must be said that the calculation of energy expenditure is relatively simple as regards the race: a calorie is spent per kilo of body weight for each kilometer travelled. They have realized that all the young people who had followed the sports program had won the muscle to the thighs and calves. On average, they were increased from 46.4 to 47.1 kilos of lean body mass.

The weight on the balance therefore reflects badly enough the evolution of body composition.

In fact, the young people of the first group had lost three kilos of fat and gained a kilo of muscle. However, the muscle is a fabric very costly on the energy plan. For little that they maintain this muscle mass by the adoption of the bicycle as a mode of daily transportation, they will have the guarantee that it will retain a metabolism of higher base which will contribute to the guide on the path to an ideal weight.
